Dr. Joachim Seipelt

Nuvonis Technologies GmbH, Managing Director

Joachim Seipelt is a biotech expert and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience. Joachim founded his first biotech startup, AVIR Green Hills Biotechnology, in 2002 and during his time there he coordinated 31 successful grant applications at research agencies including the European Commission, the National Institute of Health USA, and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency. As Head of Business Entrepreneurship, Intellectual Property, and Seed Financing at Austria Wirtschaftsservice, Joachim led departments focused on funding support for creative industries, early entrepreneurship, and high technology start-ups. Joachim’s roots lie in academia where after completing a PhD in biochemistry at University of Vienna, he was a Group Leader at Max Perutz Labs. Since 2018, Joachim has been Managing Director of Nuvonis Technologies GmbH a company that provides solutions for cell banks.
