In her talk, Huijuan provides an overview about the editorial process and gives tips on how to write a research article and publish in an influential journal. She addresses burning questions such as What takes a paper from a new submission to an accepted article? What do editors look for in a paper? What is the best way to communicate to editors and reviewers? What are the stages of the peer review process and how are decisions made? Furthermore, Huijuan introduces alternative roles and career options within scientific publishing.
Dr. Huijuan Guo is associate editor and joined Nature Communications Chemistry in 2022. She received her PhD in Analytic Chemistry from the Max-Planck-Institute for Chemical Ecology in Germany. Before she started her career as editor she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology.
