LExA Award Nominations Closed – Celebrating Great Leadership in Research

The Career Center of the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft is thrilled to announce the successful closure of nominations for the first LExA award.

The LExA Award highlights individuals who excel in meeting the diverse leadership challenges within research, allowing them the opportunity to make substantial contributions towards solving societal issues.

The response to the first call for nominations has been very positive, with a large number of outstanding submissions showcasing exemplary leadership.

Many thanks for all the wonderful applications, displaying a lot of effort, exceptional teamwork and creativity! The submissions represent a broad range of diversity regarding the organizational background, gender (53% male, 47% female), leadership experience, leadership traits and achievements.

As the nominations process has now concluded, the esteemed LExA jury has commenced the difficult job to carefully evaluate all the submissions. Each nomination will be meticulously reviewed to assess the unique aspects and contributions of the exceptional leaders put forth.

The Career Center of Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft would like to already extend heartfelt congratulations to all the institutions, the outstanding teams and their leaders who have been nominated for the LExA Award. Regardless of the final outcome, their commitment to excellence and their positive influence on leadership in science and research is truly commendable.

The announcement of the LExA Award winners is eagerly anticipated, as it will not only celebrate exceptional leadership but also serve as inspiring role models for young researchers and pave the way for significant progress.

The award ceremony will take place on September 27 at LBG´s X- Change.
